Digitalizing the Value Chain Mass Balance for an Integrated Energy Company – NIS

A corporate digitalization initiative has been put in place by NIS, one of the largest vertically integrated energy companies in Southeast Europe, to unify, aggregate, validate and reconcile data for all company blocks: upstream, sales, refining and energy. The combined use of Sigmafine and of the PI system covers the entire value chain, serving 190 users both business and corporate. Data is contextualized and made accessible through PI Vision, web reports and business intelligence dashboards to support operational efficiency and strategic management. A long-term implementation path is in place for a continuous improvement to achieve best-in-class mass balance solution.

Igor has more than 15 years experience in IT and telco both in Serbia and abroad. He joined NIS Gazpromneft in 2010 as deputy IT director of Industry Automation. Within this role, he has managed the project for the implementation of enterprise historian and material balance and has created the IT strategy for NIS Gazpromneft fror the period 2011 – 2030.

Igor holds a Msc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade and an MBA from the George Washington University.
