PETRONAS Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd (MRCSB) has been utilizing Sigmafine for more than 20 years in transforming plant data set and improving the overall reliability of data produced. Sigmafine plays a significant role in the data architecture adopted by MRCSB to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of refinery data tracking and consolidation. In this presentation, the audience will be introduced to how Sigmafine took part in the PETRONAS MRCSB digitalization strategy to support process improvements and integrated asset development and management.


About PETRONAS Malaysian Refining Company Sdn Bhd (MRCSB)

MRCSB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Petronas located in the south of Malaysia. MRCSB's core business is to refine indigenous crude oil into high-value petroleum products for domestic and export markets via various distribution modes.

The refinery began its operation in 1994 and now has a production capacity of 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day and supplies about 60% of Malaysia's petroleum product needs.

The refinery consists of 3 complexes; PSR-1 and PSR-2 to process sweet and sour crudes and MG3 for lube base oil processing.
